Our Office Is Open!

Our Office

On March 20, 2020, as per NYS guidelines, our office was told to shutdown all business to stop the spread of the COVID-19 virus. However, Starting Tuesday May 19th at 10:00am, our office will reopen for normal business.

For the continued safety of our patients and staff, we are still asking all new and existing patients that exhibit symptoms of the COVID-19 virus, to please call your primary care physician for more information.

Feel free to contact our office anytime to schedule an appointment or with any questions.

To All New And Established Patients

Acupuncture is both a safe and effective treatment for many issues, including symptoms of the cold, flu and seasonal allergies.  However, In light of the current epidemic and to help stop the spread of the COVID-19 virus, we are politely asking patients showing the following symptoms:

       Common Symptoms

Fever

Cough

Fatigue

Shortness of breath

      Additional Symptoms

(only some might develop these additional symptoms)

Runny or stuffy nose

Sore throat

Headache

Body aches and pains

Diarrhea

To please contact your primary care physician or the nearest ER/urgent care.

As always, our office is committed to the health and safety of all our patients:

  • Patient rooms are cleaned after each patient.
  • Office, waiting areas and bathrooms are cleaned every day.
  • Masks and gloves are worn by all staff members.
  • Proper hand washing techniques are used by all staff members.
  • By law, we only use sterile single-use disposable needles which are properly disposed.
  • Any initial paperwork can be mail, faxed or emailed to you prior to your first visit.

For all other patients, at this time our office is still open and taking patients Monday-Friday 9:30am to 5:00pm.  We will update on any changes to our schedule via our website or you can call our office anytime during normal business hours.

Medicare Covers Acupuncture for Low Back Pain

As of January 22, 2020, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) have finalized their decision to cover acupuncture for low back pain. Coverage includes 12 visits in a 90 day period with up to 20 visits with patient improvement.

We hope in the coming months and years more issues are covered for acupuncture. However, this is a great first step into acupuncture coverage for all Medicare patients. Our office is closely following this amazing news. We will have more information as more becomes available to us.

Workers Comp Begins in 2020

Good news! Starting January 1,2020, our office will begin accepting New York State workers compensation claims. Most cases accepted with approval. Any paperwork and billing will be done through our office, leaving you to rest, recover and to get you back to work.

Feel free to contact our office anytime during normal business hours for more information. We are available Monday-Friday 9:30am to 5:00pm to answer all of your questions.

Most no-fault cases accepted with approval from your insurance company.  In addition, we work with the insurance company to get you treatment you deserve.

Health And Wellness Fair

News - Amherst Center For Senior Services

On Saturday 10/20/2018, we participated in the Health And Wellness Fair held at the Amherst Center for Senior Services.  Even though the Buffalo weather did not want to cooperate, it was still a great event.

We enjoyed meeting everyone who visited our table and loved answering all of your questions.  We hoped everyone walked away with a better understanding of acupuncture and Chinese medicine.
